Gone are the days for Internet Explorer to rule the Internet world. It is beyond doubt that it has provided a good start to web browsing however, delayed updates and out dated technology paved the way for new web browsers. The foremost competitor is definitely firefox which provides ultimate web browsing till date. It is good addition after so many failed attempts by number of different browsing companies like Netscape etc.
Today, however Google Chrome has been much more successful than expectations. It is perhaps because of Google’s backing or any other reason. But the important thing is it does provide you all the required plugins, add-ons that are necessary to enhance the web browsing experience. Today, I have enlisted some very useful chrome extensions that are not just for any particular fraternity like developer or designer but these extensions are for a common man who has to do day to day web browsing chores. This add-on allows you to share online content to numerous social channels. It is a good tool to sync all your social media profiles and send out the information to all at the same time with just one click.
Awesome Screenshot
This extension as the name says enable you to take screenshots of web page. The plugin will take you one step further and give you option to choose either the whole screen or part of it. Moreover, it allows you to crop the image or give annotations.
Chrome to Phone
This extension is particularly useful for Android users. Once you have this extension in your phone, you’ll be able to push web links, maps and phone numbers to your Android device and open them up when you’re out and about. A must have extensions for all Android users.
Download Master
It is imperative to have download manager and we all know that because of our daily content consumption is surging with every passing day. This extension will allow to manage the download files and gives extension so that you know what you are downloading.
Google Dictionary
It is Google’s own dictionary that will give you meaning as well as pronunciation of the word.
This extension was earlier called Read It Later. All you need with Pocket extension is to set up an account and start saving your favorite content.
Radio Player:
This is a great extension but unfortunately only for UK. This ratio player give access to radio stations from across the UK and its neighboring territories numbering up to 320 radio stations. You don’t need to add any further software to listen your favorite channels at least in UK and hope it will be done for the rest of the world soon.
Rapportive:
This extension enables Gmail to create a cool social profile of any individual whose email address you enter, by pulling all the social feeds from the web. It enhance your Gmail experience however, few people have apprehensions about this very extension.
Send From Gmail:
Send from Gmail will enable you to compose an email right from the extensions bar which makes things quite easy to manage.
Stylish
Stylish extension works with scripts you download from userstyles.org to transform the look of websites.
Clipper Clipboard Manager
Save anything online with Clipboards very own Clipper extension for Chrome. It can be either HTML, text, images even flash applications are easily clipped, annotated and tagged and then saved to your Clipboard gallery within seconds.
Ad Block:
As the name says, it is one good ad blocking extension that will not bug your chrome using experience by pop up ads. It do have some malfunctions but the updates work good every now and then to fix the bugs.
Zemanta
This extension, available for multiple operating systems and browsers, supports many blogging systems to help insert images and related article links. It sources them from big image sites like Flickr, and content sites like Wikipedia etc.
Google URL Shortner:
This extension will allow you to shorten your long blog post’s URLs which are obviously not desired. All you need is just give in the URLs and get the short one to use more swiftly.
Image Search by Cooliris
Cooliris and Google what else you need to have maximize the image searching experience.
You have really managed to gather all the usefull Chrome Extensions. I think i downloaded 4 or 5 of these now. AddThis is truly awesome.
